When I was 17 years old, I was so fascinated with the cake that my sister baked from a pre- mix that I started questioning my mother as to why cakes were not baked from scratch and often she would answer, “you can bake one.”
I’ve always had a penchant for fine arts but at 17 years, I suddenly changed my mind and decided to take up baking as my career.
My journey started from grade 10 where baking was included in my extra-curricular activities. My teacher once told me about a course in bakery and confectionery in Delhi, so I enrolled for it. I was so captivated by learning different styles and designs of cakes and other confectionery products that it led me to further take up advanced study from the following sources:
CCDS: Culinary and Cake Decorating School (Okla)
Rupali Classes: (Gurugram)
Academy of Pastry Arts: Malaysian based Academy (Gurugram)
I graduated from ITM-FHRAI, completing a three years undergraduate degree in Culinary Arts. During my college I won many prizes and also started my own business from home that led to the establishment of a Bakery Café. The bakery café ran successfully for two years, after which I had to close it down because of a move to Pune.
Now in Pune, I work from home and take orders for bakery products and confectionery. It’s been heartwarming working from home making all these yummy goodies for you.
While I bake, I collect the recipes and have shared them on this blog for all of you to see and like. Please feel free to comment and share and ask any questions you might have.
Thank you Pune for all your love.
